Claire & Daleys’ Spring Wedding at Fanhams Hall
Today on the blog is Claire & Daley Spring Wedding at Fanhams Hall, Hertfordshire. Claire & Daley tied the knot back in March in a spring themed wedding. Thank you guys for a great day , I had a blast. Absolute pleasure hanging out with you and your wedding guests.
Where did you get married & why did you choose your venue?
We got Married at Fanhams Hall in Ware, Hertfordshire. Although we were having a civil ceremony, I still wanted a venue with a good walk. As soon as we saw the ceremony room, I knew this was the venue for us. I was just perfect. It was slightly pricier than other venues we had looked at. But it was exactly what we wanted.
Did you have a theme?
The theme was fairly rustic, using greens, hessian, spring flowers and owls (my favourite animal). The theme suited the time of year perfectly.
Tell us about the dress!
Fitted and slice, with small beaded detail on the waist band. I had previously found a dress which I loved, and thought was the one, however there were bits of the first dress which weren’t quite me. However when I tried this one on. I knew if was the one and never wanted to take it off. It was elegant and simple, but the lace detail made it so special and perfect for me.
How did you have your hair & make up?
I had my hair, wavy in a classic half up, half down style, with a veil and tiara. This suited me, however Daley did keep accidentally yanking on the veil during the meal… so that quickly got given up!! Haha!
Which colour did the Groomsmen & Bridesmaids wear?
Bridesmaids and Groomsmen were in a minty sage green. Green is brideys favourite colour however the colour also went really well with the venue, especially as the carpet in the long gallery, (The room we had the ceremony) actually has a sage green carpet. So it all tied in perfectly.
How did you feel that the day went as a whole?
Perfectly, we couldn’t have asked for more. It was everything we had hoped it would be and more! We would like to go back and experience it as a wedding guest too!!
Are there any special memories that you’d like to share?
Daley really (I think jokingly) wanted me to walk down the aisle to the Jurassic park theme tune… because in his words… ‘It’s majestic!’ haha! So I compromised and we entered the wedding breakfast to the music. No one knew we were doing it, so it was a lovely, funny moment for the two of us to share.
