Describe your wedding in one line…
We feel our wedding was “Traditional but with a twist of Hussell (Hannah and Russell) thrown in!”

How did you Save the Date?
Russ proposed on the Brooklyn Bridge in New York while on holiday in 2014. We decided to wait until 2016 to get married as we were planning on buying a house together, so we didn’t want too many stressful things going on at once! We booked our venues during the summer of 2014, it was great to have the wedding to look forward to!

Where did the inspiration for the wedding come from?
We really wanted our wedding to show what we as people are all about. We got married in the same church my parents and grandparents got married in which was so special to us. We wanted our wedding to be relaxed and fun but still have the traditional elements. During the planning process my ideas changed a little but I kept the same relaxed country theme throughout the planning.

Did you create Pinterest board?
I created many Pinterest boards! I was borderline obsessed, I loved Pinterest before I was engaged, but with the wedding the obsession got worse!!

Did you stipulate any guest requirements?
We didn’t have any requirements; all we wanted was our guests to come along and have a good time with a big smile on their faces!

Did you both get creative for the wedding?
We did little things like making a photo hanging board to display old photos of us on. I made confetti cones and the tags for the Bridesmaid dress hangers! My wonderful friend Emma, designed all our beautiful wedding stationery and order of services. My Bridesmaid Hannah wrote all our black board signs which gave the wedding a personal touch. Russ’ Auntie made us beautiful personalised bunting which we hung in the garden. My other friends Cherice and Tom made our amazing polaroid photo posing frame and emoji photo booth props, they went down so well on the day!

What did you both wear and why?
I wore a fitted fishtail Mori Lee dress and I felt amazing in it! I felt the dress reflected my personality. It felt big with the fishtail skirt but not too big and meringue like! Russ wanted a navy blue suit so went for a slight checked one so he would stand out beside his groomsmen. Russ wore a bow tie and the others wore ties for the same reason.

Memorable moments of the ceremony:
Walking down the aisle to Russ was great! We had an unplugged ceremony as we wanted people to see it with their eyes not through their camera or phone! I loved seeing everyone smiling! Another highlight was when the vicar said we were husband and wife and everyone cheered!

Memorable moments of the reception:
We really loved our ride in Rusty (our amazing WV wedding car) from the church to the venue, it was great to have time to take everything in just the two if us! When we got to Little Silver it was wonderful to see all our favourite people in the same place, all getting on so well and having fun! The sun was shining and everyone had drink in their hand!

Award for best moment goes to…
We really loved the speeches! All three of them were so funny and personal.

What did you have for music and entertainment?
My Friend Paul has an amazing wedding Band called The Groovemores and they played our reception. All our guests commented at how they loved the covers of modern songs with a funky twist! Paul helped us pick our first dance and changed the arrangement of it so it started off slow and then went more upbeat, it got everyone up dancing as we didn’t want an ‘awkward’ first dance!!!

What did you do for Food, favours and drink?
Little Silver provided amazing food, we had a selection of canapés while we had our reception drinks, the mini Korker sausages were very popular as were the Pimms and Peroni! We had a sit down three-course meal which was a three Cheese and Onion tart, Roast beef and roast potatoes and a Trio of desserts. Our favours and places names combine as one as we got little wooden names made. Everyone commented on how unique and different they were and a great memento of the day.

Would you change anything if you could do it all again?
We wouldn’t change a thing, we just want to do it all over again!
