Joe & Lizzy’s DIY Farm Wedding
Hey Folks! Today on the blog is Lizzy & Joe’s Wedding Day. Lizzy and Joe had a church wedding at St Peter & St Paul’s Church in Saltwood. After, they held their reception on their family farm in a charming, old rustic barn. Thank you for such a great day, It was a great pleasure to photograph your wedding !
Where did you get married? We got married in St Peter & St Paul ‘s Church, Saltwood, which backs onto my family’s farm. We then went to Saltwood Castle for drinks and canapés and returned to an old kent barn on our family’s farm for the wedding breakfast. The theme was rustic/farm/homely with a lot of things made ourselves!
Which flowers did you choose? My flowers were blue and white: lizanthamums, tulips, ranunculus and white wax. I had a hand tied wild flowers/cottage garden style bouquet
Which style was the brides dress? My dress was an essence of Australia bias cut ivory lace gown with thin lace straps and a lace bolero for the church. I was so happy with the fit and it was actually a really comfortable dress!
How did you have your hair/make up? My make up was done in a natural style by Lucy Jane make up. A massive thank you to Nick Franklin for doing my hair in a loose up do with flowers; which stayed in perfectly all day!
Which colour did the Bridesmaids and Groomsmen wear? The Bridesmaids wore cornflower blue maxi dresses and the Groomsmen wore navy suits with cornflower blue ties.
