Kent Wedding Photographer | Ross & Gemma’s Country Farm Wedding
Hey Folks! Today on the blog is Ross & Gemma’s wedding day. Ross & Gemma got married in their local village church in Hartlip and then went on to Ross’s Dad and step mothers’ house is Yelstead for their reception.
‘We didn’t have a theme as such, but wanted it to be a very English, traditional day with a ‘garden party’ sort of theme. We used hay bales to create a seating area outside of the marquee with large crates of flowers arranged nearby.’
For the flowers, they chose traditional English Garden blooms such as daisies, peonies, roses and hocks. The flowers were beautifully arranged in a unique hanging rose arrangement behind the top table. For the center pieces they had jars and bottles placed on each table with a range of different flowers delicately displayed surrounded by scattered petals.
‘My dress was a traditional a-line dress with a lace bolero, my favorite part of the dress was the lace bolero. I chose it as it made me feel amazing- it fit perfectly and I could take off the bolero for the evening to have a different style!
I had my hair up as I really wanted to show off every aspect of my dress. I didn’t wear a veil, but wore a crystal hair vine which was made by my friend by hand. The stones matched my earrings perfectly. I had my make up quite natural as I don’t wear a lot of make up anyway so wanted to look like me on our special day.’
The Bridesmaids looked stunning in their full length pink dresses with intricate shoulder detailing. The Groomsmen wore blue Ted Baker suits with pink bow ties and hankies. The page boys wore blue trousers with waistcoats, and little bow ties.
‘Ross and I loved our wedding day- it was the best day of our lives, we really couldn’t have wished for anything more. We had everyone there who are special to us and everything went to plan. Ross surprised me with a Rolex as a wedding gift which was amazing- I had no clue at all! The speeches from my Dad, Ross and his best man were wonderful, and the party was brilliant in the evening, with the band really getting everyone dancing. Just perfect!
All of our suppliers were wonderful, there was nothing at all that could have been done better- if we could relive the day we would!’
Huge shout out to Belle Fleur for her awesome flowers, Its always great working with another Kent wedding supplier.
