Liam & Toni’s Leeds Castle Wedding Day
Today on the blog is Toni & Liam’s beautiful, Leeds Castle Wedding Day.Thank you for a great day, it was my pleasure to witness such a great wedding!
What first attracted you to your venue? We chose The Maidens Tower at Leeds Castle, because of the beautiful setting. As we were driving up to the castle we knew straight away that this was the venue for us, it took our breath away, and we were in love with the tower, we really liked that we could have our ceremony and reception all in the same place, it was also a bit more modern inside which suited us and it was the perfect size for all of our guests.
What was your colour scheme and why? Liam and I wanted a summer wedding, (a bit risky in the UK we know!) We chose our date in July and went for a blush pink, white and gold theme. We wanted a romantic colour scheme that went well with the venue and time of year.
Which flowers did you choose? For our flowers we used the floristry at Leeds Castle. We wanted beautiful soft white and blush pink roses for the table candelabras. For my hand tied bouquet, I went for cream peonies, cream Avalanche roses, white Akito roses, white David Austin roses and white freesia. Liam and the best man had white roses for button holes, and our son also had a smaller white rose. Both of our mothers had white and cream corsages, and our Dads had blush pink roses for buttonholes. We also had a large gorgeous floral heart hanging on the doorway of the tower, made up with white and pink roses. The flowers were perfect.
What did the Bridesmaids and Groomsmen wear? The Bridesmaids wore Blush pink, floor length dresses and the Groomsmen wore black tuxedos, with black bow ties and white handkerchiefs.
Tell us a bit about the Dress? My dress was a Sophia Tolli, strapless dress, almond colour with fishtail style at the bottom, with a beautiful chapel length train. I fell in love with the delicate details and lace.
How did you have your hair & makeup? I wanted to keep my makeup natural, and my hair I wanted it half up and half down, so I could put my veil in and have some wavy curls. Our Bridesmaids hair was also kept natural with plaits and curls.
How do you feel the day went? Are there any special moments you’d like to share? It is hard to whittle down all of the best bits of our day as there were so many! One memory everyone won’t forget is that my Dad forgot to bring his suit! He got it in the end and it gave me extra time to get ready, and everyone enjoyed some drinks at the bar! The day was perfect and we would not have changed a thing! Our ceremony was lovely and the fireworks that my Mum and Dad arranged was the best surprise, a lovely way to end our special day. Having our family and friends together in one place was so special. It was lovely when we stepped back and watched everyone laughing and chatting away. We have special memories that will last us a lifetime!
My Husband and I would also like to say how amazing all of the staff are at Leeds Castle. They made our day run so smoothly, their service was exceptional. We wish we could do the day all over again.
