Martin & Lauren’s The Moat Pre Wedding shoot – Kent Wedding Photographer – James Grist Photography
Today on the blog is Martin & Lauren’s The Moat Pre Wedding shoot.
Martin and I go way back, actually, you could say that Martin is my oldest friend! We even shared accommodation before we were born.. He is infact my lovely twin brother.
Martin & Lauren will be getting married at St Thomas of Canterbury R.C Church in Sevenoaks and then on to the Moat in Wrotham. They chose the Moat for it’s history and character, and they love the quirky features dotted around the building. Lauren fell in love with it’s uniquely decorated room and the small details like the quotes on the old beams, the fairy lights and Ivy which is dotted around the reception room.
The theme for their wedding is ‘Vintage Shabby Chic’, originally inspired by the birdcage, tea light centre pieces that they’ve chosen. For the colour scheme, they’ve gone for lots of different shades of purple and lilac to mix it up a bit and to compliment their vintage theme.
For the flowers, they’ve chosen Lavender, Lisianthus & Gypsophila. Their chosen blooms will make up the corsages, button holes and the top table flowers, but they’ve decided not to go too over the top with anymore floral displays, as they wanted to focus more on the candles and lighting instead. The Moat has lots of delicate fairy lights laced throughout their wedding room, so Martin and Lauren have decided to add to the romantic atmosphere, by creating their own handmade, jam jar tea lights, with lace and ribbon carefully tied around them.
It’s set to be an awesome day and I’m really looking forward to seeing my little Olive as a flower girl again too!
