Phil & Emma’s Nutfield Priory Hotel Wedding Day
Today on the blog is Emma & Phil’s Wedding day. Emma and Phil got married at The Nutfield Priory in Horley, then went on to the Red Barn in Lingfield for their reception.
“So we chose Nutfield Priory because we thought it was a beautiful venue for the ceremony and The Red Barn for the reception because we thought it had a more relaxed atmosphere but quite quirky and rustic.”
Emma and Phil went for bold and beautiful for the flowers, Roses and Gerberas were their main blooms. Berries, Lillies and Hygrangeas were also added to add vibrancy and interest.
“My favourite flowers are gerberas so the bouqets were made up of gerberas and roses to keep a little tradition. Given the winter wedding we chose bright vibrant flowers the bouqets and button holes were orange.”
“My wedding dress was lacey, fitted with a flare. I loved the detail on it the beading and little bow on the front. It also had an open back and was in the colour sand ivory which made it a little different. I loved the train, it also had a Queen Anne neckline and little sleeves which I liked given the winter wedding. I had my hair down and curly I prefer my hair down as obviously it has to be up for work, the curls make it that bit more glam! I chose to keep my make up more natural.”
The Groomsmen were wearing navy suits with teal ties and pocket squares Phil wore an orange tie and pocket square to be different, add extra colour, and to match the flowers. The Bridesmaid’s dresses were also teal. The colours complemented each other well.
“It was just a perfect day absolutely the best day of our lives despite the rain and wind!” ?
“I think two of the most special moments for me were firstly seeing my Dad’s reaction to me in my dress and then Phil when I got to him in the ceremony. The day ran smoothly and everybody seemed to have a great time. The flowers were just stunning which was really important to me and the venues looked great.”
“Also a big thank you to you for being so attentive and making us feel so comfortable all day.”
