Steve & Emma’s Chilston Park Wedding Day | Kent Wedding Photographer
Today’s blog is Emma & Steve’s Wedding day. These guys tied the knot at the stunning Chilston Park Hotel in Lenham. They chose the venue for its beauty and versatility, somewhere they could get married, cater for their guests and stay over night. The staying over night part was very important to them as Emma and Steve actually live in Singapore, so being able to say proper goodbyes in the morning, before heading back home, was a huge deal for them.
They went for a romantic theme with soft pinks and ivories as their chosen colour scheme. Invitations, flowers and wedding stationary all followed suit. They wanted to include a few links to their life in Singapore, so they decided to name their tables after their favourite landmarks there and gave handmade Singapore slings as favours.
For the flowers Emma & Steve chose Roses and Peonies in a mixture of Ivory, pinks, purples continuing with the romantic summer theme.
‘My dress was one of my most favourite parts of the wedding! I wore an A-line lace and tulle Pronovias gown from Teokath of Canterbury and I chose it because of the amazing lace detail and because it had a subtle blush tulle layer which I thought was very unique! I loved the back of the dress which was lace and buttoned up. I knew it was the one as soon as I put it on because I felt amazing in it and didn’t want to take it off! I added a belt to the waist and wore a chapel length veil and a Jenny Packham head band which was a present from my mum.
I wore my hair up to show off the amazing back of my dress which I loved! I went for a simple bun and had tiny flowers in my hair-I wanted to still look like me on my wedding day and didn’t want anything too fussy! My bridesmaids chose their own hair but they all had plaits incorporated and also had baby’s breathe placed in their hair. For make up, I choose a natural look using pale pinks and purples to match the theme of the wedding.’
