Charlton House, London Wedding
Where Did You Get Married?
Luke and I got married at St Lukes church in Charlton Village,London back in February this year.My parents tied the knot at St Lukes church back in 1988, so the church holds a special connection. We knew we wanted to get married at the same place. We had visited quite a few different venues when looking for a reception location.Preston court, Upwaltham barns & Old Kent Barn. We was lucky having Charlton House just over the road, so we decided that we wanted a nice and easy trip for our guests.
Did you have any type of theme to your day?
Colour scheme was emerald green, rose gold and white for the girls, Navy and green for the boys. The reception theme was movies, our invitations were designed like old cinema tickets, the seating plan was a “screen plan” and we had popcorn on each table. Every table was based on a different film, I chose 3, Luke chose 3 and we had some together. We both love film and cinema so we thought it was a really personal touch. Everything was sourced or hand made by Sinead Brooks- Lampard
How did you feel the day went as a whole?
We did have some hiccups with our venue, before and after, which didn’t make it as smooth as I would have liked, the day before was the most stressful day of our lives! I was anxious that something would go wrong on the day, but it was perfect, I still can’t believe how well it went, everyone seemed to have an amazing time and I know Luke and I did!
What would be your number one tip to other couples planning their wedding?
Do what matters to you, what is best for you as a couple, trust in your plans and stand your ground!
