We got married at Gate Street Barn in Bramley. It had everything we wanted from a venue. The style and layout was just perfect for us. We were after a country style wedding with a modern twist. This venue was just that. Our theme throughout the planning process evolved and changed quite a bit. We knew from the outset we wanted something rustic. In our minds there was a colour palette which always involved navy and copper. This changed several times, because Billy couldn’t make up his mind. His pinterest board had many themes and ideas we wanted to incorporate. In the end we decided on simple natural colours which suited the venue and the season, with greens and whites.

We also wanted to wear navy 3 piece suits and after trying lots of different shops we finally found these at Moss Bros. Then for our ties we wanted something in keeping with our grooms maids and found the perfect design at Ted baker.

Some helpful things we did to keep on top of plans and organising was that we bought a organiser which helped us plan out all the certain aspects of the day with check lists and budgets. We also created a google spread sheet we could update and share between  ourselves to keep on top of finances.

The best tip would be enjoy the planning and don’t stress too much. It all comes together on the day.

The day was incredible and couldn’t have asked for a more magical special time. From us taking our vows to our first dance we had the best day imaginable . It goes so fast so soak up the day while you can.
