Canterbury Pre Wedding Shoot with Nicci & Tom – Kent Wedding Photographer – James Grist Photography
Today in the blog is Nicci & Tom’s Pre Wedding Shoot. The shoot was held in Canterbury High Street, we got some great shots and it was nice hearing more about this lovely couples day. These guys will be tying the knot next month at the Grasshopper Inn in Westerham.
For their wedding theme, Nicci & Tom have gone for a festive rustic feel, with hearts and sparkle as decoration, the idea originally evolved from their invitations which were printed on manilla paper. Their day will be full of festive fun, lots of hessian, Manila, luggage tabs, deep Christmassy colours etc. Nicci has also thrown in some silver glitter here and there too, as it is Christmas! This will all be finished off with a touch of dark purple to add to the rustic Christmassy feel that the venue will boast. Nicci and Tom chose the venue for it’s cosy, wintery feel, for them, it ticks all the boxes, it fits their theme perfectly, it’s big enough to cater for their family and friends, but also still fells intimate and inviting.
For the table center pieces, the couple have chosen to keep it simple but effective, with trees slices and atmospheric lanterns to set the mood. There will also be milk bottle type vases, containing a small bunch of flowers, which will be sprayed with a bit of festive, silver sparkle!
Cleverly, Nicci has chosen delicate Gypsophila as her main flower for their day, as it resembles tiny white snow flakes, so what better foliage to have for their Rustic Wintery Wedding! Her bouquet will be mainly gyp, with some Lisianthus laced throughout to add a bit of texture. The Bridesmaids will also have bouquets of Gyp, which should contrast well with their deep purple dresses.
