Hannah & Stuart’s Hartsfield Manor Weddings Day
Hey Guys! Today on the blog is Stuart & Hannah’s wedding day. Stuart & Hannah chose to get married at St Mark’s church in Reigate. And then went on to Hartsfield Manor, Betchworth for their reception. St Marks church was their no.1 choice as it is in their local parish and also where they began life together in their first home. They chose their reception venue as the building is beautiful and had an old English charm about it. The layout was also very important to them, as they wanted all of their family and friends to feel comfortable on their special day.
Hannah & Stuart went for a mixture of ‘Hollywood glamour’ and ‘Old English Charm’ for their theme. They used vintage items to create the look, many of which had belonged to beloved family members who are no longer with us. It was a lovely way of involving them in the day in their own unique and special way. The tea cup on the cake was Hannah’s Great-Grandma’s, the suitcase was her Great Uncle’s, and the scarf, to line it, was her other Great-Nan’s.
Hannah and Stuart went for beautifully classic Peonies and Roses in pink, cream and white for their blooms on the day.
Hannah’s dress was a princess style with a fitted top and delicate sparkle in the middle. ‘Very Carrie Bradshaw (from satc)! I loved it because it was glamorous, fitted at the top and I could dance in it (very important!)’ To finish the vintage look, Hannah went for 50’s Hollywood glamour for her hair and make up, with a high up-do and bold eye make up.
Their Groomsmen wore slim cut navy suits with navy braces, brown shoes and a flowery tie each. The girls were in one shouldered, navy floor length gowns.
‘The day was amazing! Although as everybody told us, it went too fast! Highlights were making our vowels, seeing our family and friends and the speeches were awesome, actually the whole day was pretty fabulous. For me personally (the bride) a highlight was the last song played by the band (which I forgot I asked them to learn) it was a Jonny Cash number! Jonny Cash was a favourite of my granddads who passed away before Christmas. My Godmother’s husband joined the band members on stage with his harmonica, and everyone was packed on the dance floor singing and dancing! It was a moment I will always cherish.’ Enjoy
