We chose James because of his wealth of experience and because he was a recommended supplier at our venue, Winters Barns in Canterbury - and we were not disappointed! He was fantastic. We had a few calls before the big day, which relaxed us and made us feel like everything was in hand. On the day, he slotted right in, which was exactly what he wanted. He looked like a guest and got on with everyone really well. The timings of the photos went really well - we felt like there was a perfect mix of good photo opportunities, as well as mixing with our guests. He recommended various videographers that he worked well with, so they could work together on the day and that also worked great too! The pictures are gorgeous. We could not recommend James enough, we had heard incredible things about this man and he did not disappoint. James is more than "just" a photographer, he is the person that made sure everything ran smoothly and on time. He brings the most perfect energy alongside his cameras and makes everyone feel at ease.
We didn't want a photographer that made us spend an abundance of time in front of the camera or a magnitude of staged shots. We wanted someone to capture the memories and parts that were true to the day that we may have otherwise missed and he did exactly that.
But just one final note -
Without James, our wedding just wouldn't have been the same.
James was probably the best booking we made for our wedding day. That includes the catering, the entertainment and the venue (all of which were brilliant). He provided an unbelievable service and a fantastic relaxed professionalism.
Having not hosted a wedding before, nor hired a wedding planner, his contributions to the day were priceless. He had plenty of fantastic tips and most importantly, he treated our friends and family with the utmost respect. He handled tricky political issues between family members really well for things like photos.
We had a pre wedding shoot because we were nervous about the thought of being photographed so much, and that was a dream as well! He was so supportive and we both feel he committed his everything to capturing us all at our best. Thank you, James.
