Where did you get married?

Bruisyard County Estate, Saxmundham

What made you choose your wedding venue, did you look at many?

The location and grounds really sold it to us, coupled with the fact that we could hire the accommodation the night before to host our wedding party, which really added a special sparkle to the occasion! We had actually booked two venues before we found Bruisyard (a running theme with me also buying three wedding dresses and two bridesmaids dresses…) but they just didn’t impress us as much as Bruisyard. It just felt perfect in every way.

Did you have any type of theme to your day?

We wanted to keep it simple and timeless, so chose a very neutral colour theme. We went for greenery with large white avalanche roses and hydrenga. The cake followed the same theme and had a lovely monogram which was designed by the very talented Maid of Honour!

How did you feel the day went as a whole?

Perfectly! All the worries I thought I’d have on the day just didn’t come into play at any point, it was just all so seamless. Hugely thanks to the wonderful staff at Bruisyard and the wonderful Kent Toastmaster, Jim Cattermole, and of course, James.

What would be your number one tip to other couples planning their wedding?

Don’t rush into making decisions too quickly. Do what you like and not what you think is fashionable or on trend at that time. All that matters is that you’re marrying your best friend surrounded by people you love.
