Where did you get married?

We got married at Blake Hall in Ongar Essex

What made you choose your wedding venue, did you look at many?

We chose the venue as we always wanted a barn venue and we thought that Blake Hall had a lovely charm and lots of character. The layout of the venue kept people all together as some wedding venues are so big that guests get lost in them. It was important to us to keep the atmosphere in one place. It is also location-wise right in the middle of friends and family on both sides.

Did you have any type of theme to your day?

Our theme was supposed to be a summery theme as our original pre-covid date was in July. We had a summer fete set up outside.

How did you feel the day went as a whole?

We thought the day went perfectly despite the rain! The happy positive energy at our wedding was incredible to see. Everyone was on top form and had such a great time.

What would be your number one tip to other couples planning their wedding?

Number one tip to other couples is to take some time off work around a month before the wedding. A few days just to wrap up last-minute bits, write final to do lists and to get into the right headspace. If you do this you will enjoy the final part of the build up a lot more stress-free.
