What made you choose your wedding venue, did you look at many?
We knew straight away that Winters Barns was our wedding venue. We looked at 3 venues prior to seeing Winters Barns, but when we walked into the venue it just felt right. The staff are amazing and want to make the day as stress free as possible.
Getting married in October, we always knew the weather would be hit and miss .We were so lucky that the sun came out and we could get married outside.
Did you have any type of theme to your day?
No, we didn’t have a theme in mind but knew that we wanted to have fun and enjoy our day. We are known for our love of games, so incorporated this in our seating plan was perfect. Naming our tables after games which we put on each table went down well. The tomfoolery box in the evening was also a great hit and we’re so pleased we decided to do this.
How did you feel the day went as a whole?
We loved our wedding day and wouldn’t change anything. People always say that it goes fast (which it does) and to make sure you enjoy it; it is your day after all! We spent the whole day laughing and smiling, surrounded by the people we love, knowing that everything was being taken care of by the awesome Winters Barns team.
What would be your number one tip to other couples planning their wedding?
Plan the day YOU want. There will be a lot of opinions, but make sure it reflects who you are as a couple, whether that is traditional, relaxed or somewhere inbetween. Also, book James Grist!
