Emma & Barney’s Pelham House Wedding

Where did you get married?

We got married at Pelham House in Lewes, Sussex;

What made you choose your wedding venue, did you look at many?

We chose the venue because of the beautiful building, its location near to the south coast where Emma spent many family holidays and its fantastic spaces both inside and out. Inside It’s the perfect mix of old and new, with historic architecture but modern decoration, and many rooms opening onto its incredible gardens . This meant that come rain or shine we knew there was perfect spaces for the day. We looked at a few venues but nothing matched. Pelham House almost feels like a little hidden gem tucked away right next to Lewes high street, and felt intimate and not too large which was perfect for our day.

Did you have any type of theme to your day?

we didn’t have a theme to our day . We had clean classic styling, lots of candles and muted tones of green and white.

How did you feel the day went as a whole? What would be your number one tip to other couples planning their wedding?

We had the best day of our lives and wouldn’t change a thing. Having all our friends and family around us having fun was everything we wanted. There was a couple of little hiccups (forgotten suits by brothers ? being one) but we wouldn’t change anything- after all its a great story!! . My biggest tip would be to go with the flow of the day, not over plan and just soak up every minute because it goes so quickly!
