Where did you get married?

Sprivers Mansion, Horsmondon. Sprivers Mansion was the perfect fit for our summer wedding. A secluded country house with beautiful grounds in the heart of Kent

What made you choose your wedding venue; did you look at many?

It was the first venue we looked at, and we immediately knew it would suit the outdoors ceremony and wedding we hoped for. I really loved that we were able to have the ceremony and welcome drinks in one section of the grounds, and the reception/ marquee in a separate area, it broke the day up. Sprivers Mansion felt like it was in the middle of nowhere and you had the grounds completely to yourselves.

Did you have any type of theme to your day?

We were set on having an outdoors ceremony and marquee wedding. If we had to give it a theme, I would say relaxed rustic country. I wanted to keep the colour scheme minimalist, we had lots of white/pastel colours for our flowers and foliage. More than anything I just wanted the wedding to feel relaxed, informal and for everyone to just enjoy themselves with lots of good food and drink!

How did you feel the day went as a whole?

It was just everything we could have hoped for and more! From start to finish we had so much fun. The ceremony felt intimate, and we were so lucky that we had fantastic weather! I couldn’t fault any of the suppliers, they did the best job of making the day run so seamlessly. I can honestly say I didn’t feel stressed at any point during the day. Everyone was on top form, as soon as the first dance kicked off the dancefloor was packed until the end. I just wish I could do it all over again!

What would be your number one tip to other couples planning their wedding?

Don’t stress about the small things, your guests wont even notice! And remember it’s your day, take a step back and enjoy every second because it will be over so quickly!
