Craig & Cheryl’s One Warwick Park Winter Wedding

Craig & Cheryl’s One Warwick Park Winter Wedding

Where did you get married?

We got married at One Warwick Park in Tunbridge Wells. I loved the combination of the sleek, modern, boutique feel of the hotel with the original beams and brick walls of the function room. We wanted our look to be elegant and classic so hopefully we can look back at our wedding pictures in 20 years and think that the wedding looked timeless. I loved the thought of having a winter wedding with lots of candles, white flowers and green foliage.

Which flowers did you choose?

We chose a mix of white hydrangea, gyp perfecta, cream rose vendella, white rose avalanche, spray rose snowflake, cream double lizzie, eucalyptus populous, large leaf pitto, tree fern and trailing asparagus fern.

Which style was the brides dress?

My dress was a lace sweetheart, fishtail dress by Pronovias. I loved the fact the dress had a long train which gave it a classic, elegant feel.

How did you have your hair/make up and why?

I wanted my hair up but not too formal as that wasn’t the style of our wedding. My hair was loosely pinned at the base of my neck to help draw the focus to the low back of my wedding dress. I don’t wear a lot of make-up normally so we kept the make up as natural as possible.Natural gloss lips and more of a focus on the eyes.

Which colour did the groomsmen/ bridesmaids wear?

The bridesmaids dress was the first outfits we bought, it was a beautiful blush pink dress from Needle & Thread, we found blush pink ties to match for the Groomsman who were wearing navy suits.

How did you feel that the day went as a whole?

When we first got engaged we discussed what we wanted from our wedding. We wanted it to be a relaxed atmosphere, good food and a great party. Thats exactly what we had!

The band Soul Fresh were fantastic and kept everyone on the dance floor until the very end of the evening. It is a very emotional day! My brother wrote a reading for the ceremony which I now have framed. All of the speeches were a great mix of sentiment and humour. I don’t cry often but as soon as I started walking down the aisle I had to hold back tears. Craig squeezed by hand throughout the ceremony, otherwise I probably would have been a blubbering mess. The wedding was perfect and there wasn’t an element that I would change.
